USDA Under Secretary Mark Rey to Discuss the 2007 Farm Bill and Forest Fuel

Bozeman--U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Natural
Resources and Environment Mark Rey will discuss the 2007 Farm Bill and forest
fuel hazard reduction during a visit in Missoula on August 23, 2007.
During an event from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Rey will visit a private forest
landowner’s property and meet with representatives of the Montana Forestry
Coalition to discuss opportunities available through Farm Bill programs to
assist private landowners to implement fire hazard reduction practices on their
lands. This field tour will be open to the media and will start at 10:00 a.m. at
Muralt’s Travel Plaza – Conoco, Junction I-90 and Hwy 93 North (exit 96).
