2008 Conservation Innovation (CIG) Grants - State Component

State Grant Component

CIG is a voluntary program intended to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. The intent of the state component of CIG is to provide flexibility to NRCS State Conservationists to target CIG funds to individual producers and smaller organizations that may provide promising innovations. In 2008, Montana NRCS awarded approximately $365,000 in competitive grants for the state component of CIG. The deadline for submitting proposals for 2008 was Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Successful applicants for the 2008 NRCS Montana Conservation Innovation Grants were announced August 15, 2008.
