Montana Guide: ArcGIS Toolbox Setup Instructions

Soil Survey Custom Toolbox sets have been developed and are provided on the CD in the directory, Custom_Toolboxes.

All of these toolboxes should be copied into the directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR.LOGIN\Application Data\ESRI\ArcToolbox\My Toolboxes

Where YOUR.LOGIN is the login you use to log in to your PC in your office.

Copying these toolboxes will result in these custom models being in the default location for your personal customized toolboxes. This is the same location they are referenced in the presentations and training.

Locating data from the directory, ArcGIS 9.0 Data Files:

All directories within the ArcGIS 9.0 data files directory must be placed within the c:/home/data. It is critical for the templates directory to be there for many of the models to function correctly.
