IntroductionMany riparian areas can be improved by supplemental tree and shrub plantings that increase biodiversity, create wildlife habitat, enhance stream bank stability and improve water quality. Supplemental plantings generally use bareroot and container stock. This Technical Note describes important establishment factors and techniques when using bareroot and container stock in riparian plantings.
