List of Field Office Technical Guide (FOTG) Material Available in Electronic Format, Paper Copy Format, or Both

Conservation Planning and Application - Conservation Planning Technical Note Number MT-11 (Revision 1)

The files in this Technical Note list the materials in each Section of the FOTG that are in electronic format, or which are currently in paper copy format, and which are both. The electronic version of the FOTG is the official copy.

Field offices have three choices on how they choose to maintain the field office copy of the FOTG.

  • Offices can continue to maintain a paper copy by printing a paper copy of all FOTG material as new updates are available; or
  • Offices can maintain the current paper copy and remove outdated material as new updates are available electronically but not print a paper copy of FOTG updates; or
  • Offices can remove all paper copies of FOTG material except that which is not available electronically and rely on the electronic version of the FOTG.

Offices do not have to archive FOTG material when new updates are available. Quality Criteria in Section III and Practice Standard, Specification, and Job Sheet information in Section IV will be maintained at the state office level. The archived material will be available on the eFOTG site. The Section IV material is located under “Section IV”, “B. Conservation Practices”, “Archived Practice Standards and Specifications”. A similar folder will be placed in Section III if the Quality Criteria is updated in the future.
