Erect shrub up to 3 feet tall with tightly rolled, downy white leaves

Uses
  • Decoction from leaves treated fevers, small pox, sore muscles, open sores, and boils
  • Leaves were soaked to make hairwash
  • Powdered root on burns and poison ivy rash
