National Engineering Field Handbook Series (Part 650/Book I), Montana Supplement to the Engineering Field Handbook, 210-VI, Amendment MT-48 (PDF; 48 KB)

Purpose: To distribute a revised Engineering Specification MT-642, Planning and Design Guide Water Well, Operation and Maintenance Guide Water Well, and MT-ENG-7W-Well Construction Specifications Cover Sheet.

Effective Date: This supplement is effective upon receipt.

Explanation of Changes: To remove and discard Engineering Specification MT-642 dated December 2007, Planning and Design Guide Water Well dated December 2007, Operation and Maintenance Guide Water Well dated December 2007 and MT-ENG-7W dated February 2005.

Add Engineering Specification MT-642 dated February 2008, Planning and Design Guide Water Well dated February 2008, and Operation and Maintenance Guide Water Well dated February 2008, and MT-ENG-7W dated February 2008.

This transmittal has been electronically located at the Montana NRCS web site under: http://www.mt.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/eng/amendMTsupplementNEH/index.html, which includes the Montana Tabulation Sheet. The table of contents for each chapter is found at “Chapter Cover, Introduction, Instructions, Index”.

Explanation of Changes:

  1. Remove and replace Montana Tabulation Sheet in front of the Montana Supplement to the Engineering Handbook.
  2. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 50, Specifications, Table of Contents, Pages 50-3/4 dated December 2007 with Pages 50-3/4 dated February 2008.
  3. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 50, Specifications, and after Underground Outlet(620) Construction Specification, revised Water Well dated December 2007 and replace with version February 2008.
  4. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 51, Planning and Design Guide, the revised Planning and Design Guide for Water Well, Pages 51-39 to 51-41 dated December 2007 with February 2008 version.
  5. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 52, Operation and Maintenance, revised Water Well, pages 52-26 to 52-31 dated December 2007 with version February 2008.
  6. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 53, Engineering Worksheets, Table of Contents, Page 53-7/8 dated December 2007 with Pages 53-7/8 dated February 2008.
  7. Insert after index tab Chapter 53, Engineering Worksheets, after worksheet MT-ENG-7D, and add the new Well Construction Specifications Worksheet (MT-ENG-7W).
