SUBJECT: ENG—Updates to the National Engineering Field Handbook Part 650, Montana Supplement; Chapter 50–Engineering Specifications

National Engineering Field Handbook Series (Part 650/Book I), Montana Supplement to the Engineering Field Handbook, 210-VI, Amendment MT-50 (PDF; 48 KB)

Purpose: To distribute a revised Engineering Specification, Subsurface Drain, MT606.

Effective Date: This supplement is effective upon receipt.

Explanation of Changes: To remove and discard Engineering Specification Subsurface Drain, MT606 dated April 1987 and replace with Engineering Specification Subsurface Drain MT606 dated May 2008.

This transmittal has been electronically located at the Montana NRCS web site under: http://www.mt.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/eng/amendMTsupplementNEH/index.html, which includes the Montana Tabulation Sheet. The table of contents for each chapter is found at “Chapter Cover, Introduction, Instructions, Index”.

Explanation of Changes:

  1. Remove and replace Montana Tabulation Sheet in front of the Montana Supplement to the Engineering Handbook.
  2. Remove and replace after index tab Chapter 50, Specifications, Table of Contents, Pages 50-3/4 dated March 2008 with Pages 50-3/4 dated May 2008.
  3. Remove after index tab Chapter 50, Specifications, Subsurface Drain, pages MT606-1 thru MT606-14, dated April 1987 and replace after Stockwater Pipeline(516) Construction Specification, revised Subsurface Drain, pages MT606-1 thru MT606-4, dated May 2008.
