John Reganold
Scientist, Washington State University. Research includes: land use and soil management including measuring the effects of alternative and conventional farming systems on agricultural sustainability indicators, such as soil quality, crop yield and quality, financial performance, environmental impact, energy efficiency, and social responsibility. Dr. Reganold co-authored now classic study on the long-term effects of organic and conventional farming on soil erosion. (Nature. 330:370-372)

Robert L. Bugg received a Ph.D. in entomology from the University of California, Davis. Since that time, he has conducted research on biological control of insect pests, cover crops, and restoration ecology. Bugg was point person in UC SAREP's implementation of Assembly Bill 3383, and provides technical support for the two Biologically Integrated Farming Systems (BIFS) projects. He has a special interest in helping growers develop biologically integrated farming systems and in assisting graduate students in conducting research on sustainable agriculture.

Dr. Clapperton is considered the guru of the rhizosphere, widely respected for her work on how soil biology and ecology interact with soil management systems to facilitate long term soil quality and productivity. Her work researches transitions to organic systems on an experiment station near Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
