The Sourcebook is an outgrowth of a symposium held at the Museum of the Rockies in October, 1996, entitled “Know Your Watershed: The Gallatin.” The workshop was presented under a unique partnership of local groups interested in public education and natural resources conservation, including the Bridger Outdoor Science School, the Montana Watercourse, the Gallatin Conservation District, the U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Forest Service, Montana State University, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, the Montana Water Court and other individuals.
